# Fabrice Bernhard

Scaling Lean from Startup to Enterprise

 Fabrice Bernhard brings a founder's perspective to LEI's LeanTech initiative, showing what organizational maturity looks like when you scale Lean practice from startup to enterprise.

 Growing companies often hit a familiar ceiling: Agile works beautifully for individual teams but offers no framework for coordinating hundreds of people. Leaders experience cycles of excitement and frustration as they try to scale what made them fast in the first place. Fabrice has lived this challenge from the inside, building Theodo from a student project to a 700-person, €100M consultancy while maintaining startup-like agility. This is where he specializes.

## Fabrice brings expertise in:

- arrow\_right Scaling Agile beyond individual teams by applying the broader systems thinking from Toyota's production system
- arrow\_right Designing organizational architecture (like Theodo's network of spin-off entities) that maintains small-team dynamics within a large company
- arrow\_right Building learning organizations where structured problem-solving and people development drive sustainable growth

 Fabrice co-authored *The Lean Tech Manifesto*, which won the 2024 Shingo Publication Award, offering a practical framework for what the original Agile Manifesto never addressed: scaling agility across an entire organization. He co-founded Theodo in Paris and led its expansion to London, New York, and beyond.
